I'll stamp all over 'legitimate fighter' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face the American YouTuber in an eight-round fight which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.

Briton Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the two fighters met personally to publicize the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Ex twice unified title holder Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive disparity - at Miami's venue on December 19th.

Fighter's Mindset

"I will damage his features and hurt his body. I'm here to prove I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, declared.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.

"I intend to really want to injure him. That's my intention."

Respectful Interaction

Despite such comments, a composed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually recognized for his theatrics - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.

Jake Paul rather targeted former Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "not serious" after the Cameroonian turned down a match opportunity.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Joshua, at the same time, targeted UK rival Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul win.

"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua said.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Fighter

Despite saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he stated.

Jake Paul's History

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since turning professional.

He lost to Briton Fury in last year.

Financial Attraction

Still, the relative newcomer continues to be one of the sport's greatest commercial attractions, consistently making huge paydays.

Prediction and Belief

The 28 year old anticipated a KO victory in round four or five and stated he would derail the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly being planned for 2026.

"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul declared.

Size Disparity

As Joshua and Paul met for the usual stare-down, with their size difference evident, it emphasized just how unlikely this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is truly going ahead.
